Patiently Waiting!
I am patiently waiting for the puppies to arrive. Tomorrow is the 59th day which is the earliest day of a safe delivery. Wicked looks very content to just stretch out on her side and take frequent naps. Her eye are just a slightly glassy which means she is probably a little uncomfortable. The puppies dropped this week and are riding low in her abdomen instead of tucked up high with those cute baby bumps. She nibbles on her food throughout the day and is now getting yogurt as well. She seems very content and happy, but for those who know Wicked, she is the happiest girl in the world! Her little stub of a tail goes so fast, it reminds me of a hovering humming bird!
Some people take the mother's temperature looking for that temperature drop 24 hours before delivery. We always watch for when they refuse to eat...that is always a clear sign around the expected day of delivery and puppies usually arrive later that day...I waited this morning to make sure Wicked ate before I left and she did.

Drum and Wicked Puppies
Puppies are due around May 12th-14th!! Of course depending on Wicked's and mother nature's schedule it could be a couple days before or after. Those who have had human babies of their own can attest to the fact that their are not going to make their debut until they are ready! Wicked's tummy is huge and she has big baby bumps on both sides. This weekend I will give her a bath and get her whelping box ready. I will let her sleep there at night so she gets used to it and thinks it will be a great place to raise her family. She already had a dry run in the winter and seemed to be quite happy there. Of course those who know Wicked will tell you she is happy anywhere!

Wicked X Drum Puppies!
Yes! Puppies are definitely expected!!! Wicked's tummy has gotten huge in the last 2 days! Since I increased her food, she has decided to eat several small meals throughout the day. These puppies should have excellent temperaments, be very biddable with nice drive, correct, sound structure and beautiful movement. Expected due date is May 14th and we have started a waiting list. All colors are possible. Hoping Liz will make it home in time for the new arrivals. Hard to believe our last litter is turning 2 in June!

After a false pregnancy last fall, "Wicked", LegendsStarnDevilInABluDress (ASCA Major Pointed) has been rebred to "Drum" Arcoiris Inside The Fire (ASCA Major Pointed). We are expecting all 4 colors! Puppies are expected to arrive around May 14, 2014. Pictures of the prospective parents to be posted later this week. Puppies should be outgoing, biddable and very smart! We are now taking names for our waiting list, so please contact Janine at marehaven@netzero.net if you are interested.

Puppy Plans 2013
We do have tentative puppy plans for 2013. We plan to breed Spell "Encantacion Azul De Arcoiris DNA-VP" to either Khaos, "CH Treasuretyme Eclectic Alchemy DNA-VP" or Drum "Arcoiris Inside The Fire". This will most likely be a summer litter. You can check out Spell at our "Girls" page and Khaos at our "Boys" page on our web site. Drum is a Khaos Grandson and a Phoenix son. Mean while there is a litter expected at Sugarleaf Aussies! Tango, GrCH/ASCA CH Arcoiris Strictly Ballroom DNA-VP ASCA/AKC CD RN has been bred to AKC/ASCA CH Briarcliff Silkroad to Hemlocks .
